San Antonio Knanaya mission was established on May 16, 2009. The Church was consecrated on July 21, 2010 by His Excellency Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath. His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, Archbishop of Kottayam was the main celebrant of the Holy Mass.

Mission Statement:

St. Anthony’s Knanaya Catholic Parish commits to serve the pastoral needs of the Knanaya Catholics in the state of Texas having domicile in and around San Antonio including the cities of Austin, Corpus Christi, McAllen, Laredo and Del Rio, in communion with the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago and the Archeparchy of Kottayam, especially by providing liturgical services in the Syro-Malabar rite, offering Religious Education and spiritual formation, organizing pious associations, Ministries for all ages, koodara yogam(ward prayer meetings), promoting Knanaya traditions, and developing a spirit of Christian love.
